Unlocking potential and supporting people whose lives are touched by Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD)

Adult Services - Residential Care Homes

BAT runs three residential care homes in the London Borough of Bromley, opened in partnership with The Hyde Group and A2 Dominion Housing Group.

The homes provide a calm, caring and autism-friendly environment for our service users.

We use strategies such as TEACCH to achieve an enhanced communication environment, together with autism-specific behaviour strategies.

Residents are helped and encouraged to develop their interests and abilities to their fullest potential, so that they can become more independent and enhance their quality of life.

Hamilton House, in Bromley North, has been home to five residents with ASD since it was opened by BAT in 1982.

Northernhay, in Bickley, was the second Bromley Autistic Trust home to be opened, in 1994. It is home to seven people with ASD.

Burgess House, near the centre of Bromley, opened in 1998. The ground floor comprises a registered home for four people with high-dependency needs, while on the first and second floors there are three self-contained, one-bedroom Supported Living flats for people who are more independent.
