About the Day Service
The Jubilee Day Centre has been designed to meet the wide range of needs of people with ASD.
We provide specialised placements for 14 adults (aged 19+). We assess individuals’ needs and build a timetable around them, ensuring a continuing person-centred approach.
The Centre occupies the ground floor of a specially-adapted, spacious building in an attractive area close to the centre of Bromley. It has separate rooms for Art and Craft, Information Technology and relaxation as well as a kitchen and dining area. The Centre has a small garden area with table and benches. In addition, we have access to an allotment in Chislehurst.
Our staff keep the Centre calm, relaxed and homely for those who use it. The staff are trained and experienced in working with people with ASD, and on average work with service users on a 1:2 ratio. Specialist instructors come in to teach subjects such as Information Technology. We also have staff qualified in relaxation therapies.
Every service user is involved in deciding what happens at the Day Service. Regular consultation meetings take place to decide, for example, what should go on the menu, what activities should be undertaken and which places people would like to visit.

These are made through Care Management/Transition Teams. We will arrange to visit the person being referred to assess their needs; and they will be invited to visit the day centre to ensure that this is the right placement for them.
